Posted by representingpuroresu on 02/16/2010
G’day from down under, mates! UFC’s 2010 World Tour kicks off this weekend with it’s first trip do the land down under-Australia-for UFC 110 from Sydney. While there are no title matches it’s still a solid card headlined by Cain Velasquez vs. Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira and Wanderlei Silva vs. Michael Bisping and plenty of Aussies on the card including, at long last, the return of The King-Elvis. Uh huh…thank you, thank you very much. Click below for my predictions and start throwing some shrimp on the barbie for the weekend. (Updated 2/18)
Usual disclaimer: As always, these predictions are strictly for entertainment purposes only and should not be used as the basis for any real-life betting/wagering. A “NC” in a fighter’s record indicates No Contest. All fighter rankings are based on the latest MMAWeekly World MMA Rankings.
Main card airs live on PPV. No TV fights on Spike this time. Because of the time differences, the event will take place in Australia and the PPV portion will start at 4 PM Sydney time on Sunday, 2/21, while in the US the live broadcast with the difference will air Saturday night, 2/20, at 10 PM ET, the usual Saturday night PPV timeslot. Depending on where you are in the lower 48, Australia is 15-18 hours ahead of you.

I haven’t decided yet if I’ll buy this PPV and thus do live results Saturday night. Need to see how the money looks after I go out Friday night, but I am leaning towards getting it then or Saturday morning. The PPV fights (especially the headliners) are good enough to warrant it. Actually, with the 2/18 changes, they unfortunately have changed my decision from probably to no.
