Funny MMA Video Of The Day: Kiss THIS!

The sucker punch. The cheapest of the cheap. The lowest of the low. But when the other guy asks for it, it’s funny. Case in point: This clip I came across before a MMA fight. Not sure when this was, but here’s the deal: They’re in each other’s faces before being separated for ref instructions. Near the end the guy in the pink mohawk (Dude…) blows the other guy a kiss. The other guy kisses him back. With his right fist. Not sportsmanlike at all, but still funny and the kiss-blower got what he deserved. Funny part was right as the clip ends the cage announcer calls for security!

Funny Sports Video Of The Day: Bad Time To Use Your Head

Try telling that to Toronto Maple Leafs D Mike Komisarek. You have to look very carefully for it but in the clip below he had a puck go off his head in front of the Leafs’ net and past the goalie. OWN GOAL. But it counts only for Colorado. Here’s the clip:

I’m sure the last thing he wants to hear is the old entry theme for the wrestler Al Snow: “What Does Everybody Want? HEAD!” Let’s see if they play that when he returns to Colorado.

Otherwise it could get ugly. And hilarious. As part of it’s ads for Norton Internet Security 2010, the software’s maker has come up with a series of serious-minded yet rather silly spots featuring Kimbo Slice to get it’s point across. Each of the 3 spots has a slightly different outcome following a key spot in the commercial. All 3 can be seen after the jump, they’re all funny but the 3rd and last spot is my favorite, had me cracking up. Enjoy.

This one’s been stirring controversy on message boards and blogs, but I think it’s overblown. You know how most fighters (but not all) touch gloves before fighting? But AFTER the round actually begins? That’s where the line has been blurred by the clip after the jump: Touch gloves. Drop guard. BOOM. 7 second TKO. This fight happened in March. Watch and draw your own conclusions…my thoughts: Shut up, people. The fight had already started! Touch at your own risk!

Funny MMA Video Of The Day: Alistair Overeem Is Not A Ladies’ Man

Well, at least when it comes to how to treat a lady…unless they’re asking for it. You might remember that internet sensation that was Quinton Jackson givng a Cage Potato female reporter an interview a while back…and some “special attention” to go with it. Now there’s this weird clip of Alistair Overeem giving some Dutch woman an interview (hence the language you won’t understand unless you speak it) and then he goes Cristiane Santos on her. OK, he pulls the punches (and kicks) a bit but she also does a nice sell on a right cross. There are a couple different parts to this in the clip below, skip to about the 1:15 mark for the first bit then skip to about 3:10 for more…then skip to about 5:00 for even more, daaaaamn! And get this woman into wrestling…or at least on “Sport Science”. She’d do well! Enjoy. And, in the final 10-15 seconds, watch for a classic EPIC FAIL moment.

This is how mainstream UFC has gotten-in the wake of Saturday’s UFC 101 event, some sports sites & blogs were mentioning UFC with video of last night’s “beanbrawl” in Boston as tempers between the Tigers & SAWX finally boiled over after a series of beanballs over the last game or two. Rick Porcello beaning Kevin Youkilis was the final straw as Youk charged and Porcello soon scored a nice takedown after a brief clinch. Funny Video Of The Day: The Pierogies Strike Again!

I learned by way of the great “Let Teddy Win!” blog (you can find a link on the right side of the blog) that the Racing Presidents followed the Nats to Pittsburgh this weekend to continue a 2-year-old tradition, and this time they did a 4-team relay race and, not surprisingly, Teddy was again denied. By the Pittsburgh Pierogies, one of which threw a nice body check to level Teddy that perhaps would be worthy of an NHL highlight reel. This is one of those classic “don’t blink” videos. At this past Saturday’s PureCombat event, former WEC Fighter Steve Ramirez faced off against Darvin Wattree. As seen in this amateur-shot video clip, Ramirez didn’t touch gloves during pre-fight instructions. Should’ve been a warning to Wattree. Funny MMA Video Of The Day 2: Carano & Cyborg At The ESPYs

Yes, MMA got some love at the ESPY Awards. MMA didn’t win in the best fighter category (that went to boxer Manny Pacquiao), but they still were graced by the presence of 2 of the top female fighters in MMA-Gina Carano & Cristiane Santos, who looked good for the camera, had some fun with this reporter (who looked & sounded like Chris Rock with an afro), and the party even featured an appearance by former WWF/E Champion The Iron Sheik who apparently still has a beef with Hulk Hogan.
