It was nice while it lasted, but the recent heat wave is about to give way to more borderline cold weather here for a few days. In the meantime, here’s one last-ditch attempt to try and stave it off (pathetic reasoning, is it not?)…

Rant: Let MMA Promotions, Not The States, Pick Refs & Judges

By most accounts, Saturday’s UFC 96 was pretty good. Fights better than expected, 2 great headlining fights, and 9 of the 10 fights aired on PPV. But we need to look beyond that, as there were 3 examples of just how bad Athletic Commissions have let things get. Bad for fighters, fans, and promoters. That all adds up to a rant.
